The purpose of this meeting was to share information from a variety of
different sources. Major North American research and education networks
presented their current status and expansion plans. Network connection
points presented their status and plans. Asian networks discussed their
networking plans both within their countries and internationally. Applications
groups discussed their needs. Vendors presented the status of their networks
today and their plans for the next 12-18 months. And, specific discussions
were held about developing international connectivity options.
